Naíscoil Chloch na gCoillte 

 

Tá Naíscoil Chloch na gCoillte suite taobh istigh den Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Uí Choileáin agus chuirimid ar fáil oideachas réamhscoile trí mheán na Gaeilge, i háit sona, cairdiúil is slán. Tá páirt a glacadh againn sa scéim ECCE, chun bliain réamhscoile fóirdheontais a sholáthar do leanaí sa bhliain roimh theacht ar Bunscoile.  

 

We are located in the grounds of Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Uí Choileáin and we provide pre-school education through Irish, in a happy, friendly, educational and safe environment. We participate in the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme, which provides two years of free pre-school education for all children aged between 2.10 years  and not older than 5 years and 6 months at the end of the preschool year.

 

Naíscoil Chloch na gCoillte is a Naíonra/Preschool for children who come together daily for 3 hours in a playful, fun, cheerful, positive, educational and safe environment, under the guidance and supervision of the Naíscoil Staff. It is run through the medium of Irish. Children in the Naiscoil benefit from play, stories, songs, verses while taking in Irish naturally.

The staff structures the environment to ensure that all facets of the child's holistic development are catered for, while giving the child the opportunity to acquire Irish naturally through the medium of play, which is this particular age group's chief method of learning. 

 

We at Naíscoil Chloch na gCoillte plan a wide range of different activities, topics and games for each term. The voice of the child is very important to us.  We heed it and includ it in our curriculum. We have go leor toys, puzzles, art & craft materials, musical instruments, equipment for physical play both for indoor and outdoor.  We have a wide selection of books, tabletop activities, construction toys, games and much more to keep even the most energetic and inquisitive child busy and learning through different experiences. We have an outdoor area and also venture into the Gaelscoil. We work and help to progress each child's social and emotional skills and promote their confidence and well-being.  Preliminary work is also done in the development of the skills involved in writing and promoting literacy and mathematical skills. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for our children.  Having fun is very important.  We want our children to be happy and learn through play.

 

-      Naíscoil Chloch na gCoillte is a Preschool/Playgroup/Naíonra run through the medium of Irish set in a bright, modern purpose built childcare facility.

 

-      We are situated at the western side of Clonakilty town in the grounds of Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Uí Choileáin in Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland.

-      We provide two FREE preschool years - ECCE approved

 

-      We fall in with the Primary School Calendar and are open 38 weeks of the year.

-      We cater for children aged between 2.10 years and 5+ years 

-      We are Registered and Inspected by TUSlLA, Pobal and DES

-      Staff are Experienced and Fully Qualified 

-      Staff are Garda Vetted & are Police Clearance certified 

-      We are Play-based

-      We have an Outdoor play area

 

-      Our price is €18 per session if your child does not qualify for the ECCE scheme

-      Our morning sessions    (8:45am - 11:45am) cater for children about to start primary school the following year.  The afternoon sessions (12:00pm - 3:00pm) cater for the younger children spending their first preschool year with us.
